Swim Instructor - Lifesaving Society
The Swim Instructor course equips participants with the
knowledge, skills, and leadership strategies needed to teach the Swim for LifeĀ®
and Canadian Swim Patrol programs. Through a combination of in-class and
in-water training, candidates will learn to plan lessons, assess swimmers, and
deliver effective instruction using Level 1 leadership competencies.
This course includes an apprenticeship component and
prepares future instructors to create a positive and inclusive learning
environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Pre-requisite(s): 15 years of age or older and hold
Bronze Cross or higher (need not be current).
